Junior Volunteer Program

For young people interested in volunteering at Stevens, we have our junior volunteer program. As a junior volunteer, you will be able to assist in the care and comfort of patients at the hospital, as well as learn about and experience possible careers in the health care field. In addition to the experiences you will gain, you will also be able to meet new people and make new friends. If your school has a community service requirement, the junior volunteer program at Stevens can help you fulfill that.

Participants in our junior volunteer program have the opportunity to work in admitting, at information desks, in the Gift Shop, in patient care areas or in the emergency department.

In order to participate, volunteers must be at least 14 years old and able to commit to at least one 4-hour shift each week for a quarter. Once prospective volunteers complete the required paperwork they will be asked to participate in an interview with the volunteer services staff.

If you are interested in becoming a junior volunteer, download the application and related forms (PDF), complete the paperwork, and return it to the volunteer office.
