Does your child have ADHD?

Only a doctor can tell you if your child has ADHD. But answering a few questions can help you decide whether a doctor's visit is necessary.

Visitor Guide

How to be a Healing Visitor

When a loved one is in the hospital, it is often a difficult and stressful time for all involved. Although Stevens is committed to always putting forth our best effort in making each stay as comfortable as possible, it is often the support from friends and family that can make a hospital stay much more relaxing.

While you are visiting your loved one, we at Stevens want you to feel welcome. For this reason, we ask that you please be aware of our visiting hours. While you are here, you are welcome to take advantage of any number of our visitor services.

As a visitor, there are several guidelines you should follow to help assure that your loved one (as well as others in the hospital) has the best stay possible:

  • Electronic Equipment: Please limit the use of electronic equipment (i.e. cell phones, computers, pagers, etc.) to waiting areas only. These devices must be completely shut off while in the ICU/PCU, as they can interfere with the medical equipment.
  • Gifts: All visitors are welcome to bring gifts for patients. We do ask that only mylar balloons are given to patients (available at our own Gift Shop). Latex balloons are not permitted in the hospital because patients, families, and staff may be allergic to latex. Also, in ICU/PCU we ask that only artificial flowers are given to patients.
  • Good Health: P lease visit when you are not afflicted by any infectious diseases (i.e. the flu, a cold, chicken pox, etc.) to avoid spreading sickness to others.
  • Good Hygiene: Be sure to wash your hands before visiting a patient to prevent the spreading of germs.
  • No Pets: Only licensed service and therapy animals may visit patients.
  • No Smoking: Stevens is a Tobacco-Free campus.
