This logo is symbolic of the five paths which mark our commitment—combined in a covenant—to fulfill our mission, vision and values and the leadership pillars which guide every element of our service to patients, families, physicians, and each other at Stevens. The parallel bars represent our five institutional core values: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, stewardship; and the five concurrent leadership pillars: people, quality, service, finance, and growth; to which our commitment is uncompromising. The bars rest on a delicately balanced pinnacle that points this array toward a higher standard—beyond excellence—serving as a flag that flies atop our masthead marking both our place in the community and the direction in which we are heading.
Our basic logo color is green. Green is the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness and fertility. Green has an emotional correspondence with safety. Green has great healing power. It is the most restful color for the human eye; it can improve vision. Green suggests stability and endurance and experience. In heraldry, green indicates growth and hope. Green is the traditional color of peace. Stevens Hospital is a truly a green institution.
This logo is a singular rendition with integrity, merging logotype and symbol. The rendition is inviolate and should never be subject to any reconfiguration or modification under any circumstances.
